9 Month Mark

The D man is 9 months old today. I can't stress enough just how quickly he has grown before my eyes. In just three more months, I'm going to have a 1-year old roaming around the house. I can hardly believe it.

I feel like he just popped out yesterday.

Right now, he can say "Mama" and "Dada" (indiscriminately of course.) Along with all other sorts of babbling and consonant/vowel combinations like "bababa" and "nanana."

He is the proud owner of 6 beautiful teeth which he happily displays every time he shows off that wonderful grin of his.

He sits on his own, moves from laying on his tummy to sitting position and then back again.

He also pulls himself into a standing position and takes a few steps standing up and holding onto things.

He's starting to understand what the word "no"means, though sometimes he doesn't choose to obey it. Instead, he stops what he is doing and flashes that charming smile then continues onto something else which will eventually land him another, "No!"

He can pick up his food with his fingers and put the food in his mouth. And he's beginning to sign the word "milk" to me when he wants his drink.

He has eaten almost every single kind of baby food so far and for some reason he STILL hates spaghetti.

He cries whenever I take a book from his hands. He's really attached to books right now.

I am extremely excited that the D man has maintained his pleasant disposition. No matter what he's doing, whether it's playing with a ball, playing with his brother, eating, or getting into some kind of trouble, he is ALWAYS proudly displaying his best asset--that beautiful smile!
